I've been having problems with R6034 runtime error with Photoshop 6 and after several unsuccessful attempts decided to restore to a "before" state
However to add insult to injury I've got the following error message

System restore did not complete successfully....
System restore failed to replace the file (C:\Windows) with its original copy from therestore point.
An unspecified error occured during System Restore (0x80071a90)

I have tried to restore from Safe Mode but the restore point I wanted disappeared from the list.
It is in the shadow files but inaccessible from safe mode.

Any help would be much appreciated
