After installing and opening PS6 I get

'Runtime Error! R6034 An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library (Win7 64bit)'

Clicking on this it will come back seven times, after which PS6 starts.
Following up on all the advice from Adobe Forums and Microsoft I've tried the following:

Checked all my updates
Checked for viruses and malware
Run CCClean and SysMechanic
Uninstall PS6
Reboot
Run Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner
Restart
Install CS6
Install updates
No change!
I've also reinstalled the MS runtime library, tried to start in safe mode, all to no avail.

I've spent days on this problem and it's driving me insane!
Can anyone HELP PLEASE!!!

I can't help but you should clarify whether you are talking about PS6 (circa 2000) or CS6, or PS6 uninstall/CS6 install. You mention both in the list of what you did.

I am sorry for the confusion.
I am referring to Creative Suite 6 Photoshop.

Also, the error message is rather ceyptic:
"Runtime error!
Program: C:\Pro...
R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime
library incorrectly."

If you have any plugins, try disabling them (deselect the additional plugin folder in Edit / Preferences / Plugins). If that cures the problem you will have to reselect the folder and remove one at a time (or add one at a time), restarting each time. If the CS6 install was routine I've no idea where you start.

No, there are no plugins. It's the pristine CS6.
I am quite disappointed that Adobe can not suggest a working solution.

I can't help further I'm afraid. In your position I would write a macro to cancel the 7 messages automatically but that requires some programming skills and be sitting at the PC in question.

How'd you get you're copy of Photoshop? Try downloading the trial copy from the official Adobe website and use the key that you own.
