Need some help. Out of the blue my computer locked up on me and will not start.

I get the following:

"Windows could not start because the follow file is missing or corrupt:
windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe"

I can't get past it.

Does anyone have a solution??

More info on your situation is to be found HERE. It sounds like you need to boot using your XP cd, and then get to the recovery console.

If this fixes your problem, then check for viruses. There are some out there that can cause this corruption.

Currently home chillin' with the fam and my two dogs!
