Hello,

Let's see if we can help you with your computer BSOD problem. These problems are often not simple so gathering as much information about your computer will be important.

1. ) Please follow these instructions: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions - Windows 8, 7 & Vista
  • With the exception of Step 4 - part 2 - Create a new thread HERE and attach the file(s).
  • Note - When they are run, both files: BSOD_Windows7_Vista_v2.64_jcgriff2_.exe and autoruns.exe need to be in the Documents directory.
Please upload the zipped folder to a File Sharing website of your choosing because Bleeping Computer has a 512 K only upload limit and this file will be much larger.

2. ) To help us get a better look at your computer's hardware, please download and install Speccy by Piriform. (mirror site)
  • During installation, uncheck "Install the free Google Toolbar along with Speccy."
  • Run Speccy and from the top menu, select File --> Publish Snapshot. Click "Yes" to proceed.
  • Click, Copy to Clipboard and paste this address into your next post.
Below is ONLY for those who can not get online:
  • Select File --> Save as Text File and save the file to your Desktop.
  • Please copy the text file into your next post.
  • Important Note: You will need to edit the text file to make sure that your Windows Key is not present under Operating System before posting.

Regards,
Brooks

HellCrasher,

The following warnings appear in your System Diagnostics Report (perfmon.html):

  • The "Gaming graphics" rating for the system is poor and may be the cause of performance problems in multimedia applications or games. Disabling Aero Glass may improve performance in multimedia applications or games. If the problem continues the display adapter may need an updated driver or may need to be upgraded.
  • The "Graphics" rating for the system is poor and may be the cause of performance problems. Disabling Desktop Composition or reducing screen resolution may improve graphical performance. If the problem continues the display adapter may need an updated driver or may need to be upgraded.
See - Performance Diagnosis

I remember from a previous post that your computer was updated from Windows XP to Windows 7 Ultimate. The HP (Compaq) website only lists Windows XP drivers for your system so updating drivers beyond the Windows 7 installation and Windows update won't be possible. That being said, I didn't find anything revealing from the recent minidump files.

I remember that you had previously uninstalled Avast Anti-virus and ran Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) for a trial period. Did you have BSODs with MSE before switching back to Avast?

Debug Data - below is for information Only.
Spoiler

Regards,
Brooks

ok..about the graphics.. i think you're right! ... cauz i just have a Standard VGA Grahics Adapter... and i've been searching for a grahics card, but they are near the 100$$... heyy but iff i put HD pictures slideshow as my desktop background, is it allright??... anddddd about AVastt!! .... it slowed myy pc realllyy down!! ...wasn't even able to move in normal mode, andd even on shutdowns it got Asw...-Bsods and slowed down, but i uninstalled it and installed MSE now, somewhat faster pc..... is it a problem with my pc or with the Avast Application? that it slows down my pc and cause BSODS?? ook and i found a website?.. i want to ask for you're advice because i saw here that MSE has a very low detection of viruses and on the same site i found a website.. which of the AV programs do you prefer?first option,2nd & 3rd.... bitdefender looks good, but never tried it ......... about the drivers.. yeah bigg problem, but i think its the companies that have to make windows7 drivers available............... butt anhy thankss! for the info...... =))

THank you againn! ...

Ok! a few minutes, now hours lter my pc gets stuck, hanging.. not responding opening things.... tried "Roquekiller by Tigzy" and quarantined them(see RK Report...i did a starup thereafter and it wazz still sunning really slow) soo i tried running Rkill! .. and it killed this process>> C:\Windows\system32\taskeng.exe.. this i googled and some say it is needed, some say its a virus... but after the process waz killed,my pc runs smoother now.. i'm afraid it'll happen again(a stuck pc) after startup.. what do you think??... There are anti-virus programs that have a better detection rate than Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE), but they often take a bite out of performance as you saw with Avast. You are running Windows 7 on a computer designed for Windows XP. Windows 7 does require more system resouces than XP so both the newer OS and the particular antivirus that you choose will affect computer performance.

I run MSE and I use the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-malware as an on-demand scanner. You could alway get a second opinion and check your system by running one of the free on-line virus scanners such as Eset Online Scanner.

taskeng.exe is an important Windows file so don't delete it. Be aware that Rkill terminates both "good" (legitimate Windows processes) and "bad" (malware related) processes. If you feel that your computer may be infected you should post in Bleeping Computer's Am I Infected Forum.

There are ways to free up additional system resources with Windows 7. See 9 Essential Tips To Speed Up Windows 7.
  • The only one I don't advise performing is:
  • 3. Disable or make unneeded services Manual.

Regards,
Brooks
