Hello, I have having a hard time getting NET SEND to work. Searching around the internet I noticed that there had to be a service for net send called 'messenger' I looked at my services.msc and noticed that there was no such service. I heard it was supposed to come standard and active in SP3..? But never the less I looked in my C:\WINDOWS\system32 for the dll file. I found the file, msgsvc.dll was in system 32. But for some reason there was no service. So I open cmd and typed sc create messanger binPath= C:\WINDOWS\system32\msgsvc.dll the command returned a success and I noticed that there was a service called 'messenger' I tried to start it but it returned an error saying "Error 193:0xc1" I looked in event viewer and it explained the error saying that messenger is not a valid Win32 appliction. I am not on any network, this is a home computer with a home network. No IT department. The only thing I can really think of is to get a new dll file. I put the installation CD in the drive, the CD is for SP3, I tried to find the dll file but couldn't locate it, I tried to install optional components but it said that it could not copy the files. I'm stuck at what to do. Help?
