What system model?

HP is the manufacturer...Intel only tells us the CPU manufacturer...and 4 may mean that it's a Pentium 4 processor. Look at your documentation for the system, please...and tell us the model.

XP drivers for system, http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=473256&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=447279&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1098 .

I would install the chipset driver first...then any drivers for system functions which are not working (networking:.
