Removed from Cajenigs HJT log

I have used AdAware, Spybot S&D, Gaobot.AO Removal Tool, Spyware Doctor, Registry Mechanic, Bazooka Scanner, SpywareGuard, SpywareBlaster, Avast Cleaner, ATF Cleaner, and Killbox to get detect and get rid of this file. I have System Restore turned off, but every time I restart my computer, Zone Alarm informs me that csrrs.exe is trying to access the internet. I have edited the registry and deleted it from there but it keeps coming back. Help....it is making Regedit inoperable....the only way I can use it is in Safe Mode. I have removed various worms, trojans, spyware, adware, etc. from my computer but this one has me stumped. Here is my HJT Log:

Hello Cajenigs,

I have System Restore turned off

Please turn System Restore ON. Disabling System Restore wipes out all restore points. Should a problem arise during the fix you would have NO good working configuration to go back to get the computer up and running.
Even if you have to start over removing infections, this is preferable to a dead PC thanks to having System Restore turned off. We will clean the restore folder and set a new point AFTER the PC is clean and all programs are working properly.

I know you may have anti-virus software, but sometimes its definitions are corrupted due to malware. Online scans are the best resort in this case.
Run this pc through the
Trend Micro Housecall Online virus scanner
or
Panda Scan Online virus scanner

Let it delete whatever it finds. If it cannot delete it, then post the log and we will delete it manually.

**************************************

Please download Ewido Anti Malware it is a trial version of the program.
  • Install ewido anti malware
  • Launch ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop double-click it.
  • The program will now go to the main screen
You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.
  • On the left hand side of the main screen click update
  • Then click on Start Update
The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update Ewido.
Ewido manual updates

Once the updates are installed do the following:
  • Please reboot your computer in SafeMode by doing the following:
    Restart your computer
After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
  • Click on scanner
  • Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
  • NOTE: During some scans with ewido it is finding cases of false positives.
    • You will need to step through the process of cleaning files one-by-one.
    • If ewido detects a file you KNOW to be legitimate, select none as the action.
    • DO NOT select "Perform action on all infections"
    • If you are unsure of any entry found select none for now.
  • Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
  • Click Save report.
  • Save the report .txt file to your desktop.
Now close Ewido Anti Malware.

Note: Ewido is a great program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

Post a fresh Hijackthis log and the Ewido log.

Hi SifuMike,

Thank you for your reply and information. That is good to know about the System Restore. I also posted in I Am Not A Geek forum and just got the problem resolved this evening. Thank you for the handy link to Trend Micro Housecall and Panda Scan. Those are great to have bookmarked for such cases and I never knew about them before. I really appreciate your help and information.
