I'm a bit stuck at the moment. I kind of had my heart set on this Acer V3-771G-6851, but just recently (and a few days short of me ordering it... ugh) Newegg stopped stocking it. Amazon has a few, but they're at least $130 more than Newegg's initial $570. I found another model (7750G-6857) that looked similar, but I'm not sure how they compare. This model is more expensive on Amazon, but I've found it cheaper on another site.

I guess my question is, do either of these outperform the other?

I really liked the first one because it meant I could use the computer as I normally do (multitasking with graphics programs like Photoshop and SAI, etc) but also would allow me to game (!!) a bit. (Games like Skyrim, WoW, GW2, Borderlands/2, etc)

Should I settle for the second model? Would it run games as smoothly as the first?

Or, are there alternative laptops I haven't seen? I'm on a budget of around $600.

edit: I also found the AS7750G-2456G50Mnkk and the Pavilion g7-2220us. Would either of these work up to par with the first?

The 7750G-6857 would be the better replacement because of it's much more powerful graphics card. The HP and the AS7750G-2456G50Mnkk uses the exact same graphics card as the 7750G-6857.
