Here is a Powerpoint viewer from Microsoft. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13

Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer lets you view full-featured presentations created in PowerPoint 97 and later versions.

To create Powerpoint presentations you will need to buy the program.
Hopefully the Powerpoint Viewer runs in Windows 8. I haven't tried it myself since I run Windows 7 and do not plan to upgrade. I believe it should run however. Hopefully it is what you need.

Thanks Roger,

I should have asked for a free PowerPoint viewer. I had Windows Vista and I was using Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 which I had no problems with. Does anyone know if I can download that one without having problems in Widows 8.

In the Microsoft PowerPoint 2007, you don't have all the features but that was good enough for me as I use it mostly just to view PowerPoint emails that I receive. So maybe someone else here knows where I can download it from. Thanks.

Thank you Former Addict,

I went to the link of the Microsoft site that you posted for me and was able to download Microsoft PowerPoint
free which I did and now have it installed on my Windows 8.

Have a good day.

Thanks for letting us know how it worked out. That helps with others that find this message during a search.
