After finding your site I realized that my laptop was infected with the 'File Restore'. With your detailed information posted online I have been able to unhide my files in windows, download the free Malwarebytes and run the full scan. (this did not highlight anything). However the problem seems now to be that when I open up the laptop 'File Restore' starts and when I close the window it remains in the task bar at the bottom of the screen and I am unable to remove it. Can you help me to remove this?
I also have Macafee total protection on my laptop and this has not highlighted any viruses during scans, and I am wondering if Malwarebytes is the same and do I need both on the laptop.
I am not at all technically minded and no nothing about the technical jargon of computers.
Any help would be great!!

Boot into safemode with networking

Launch it.Click on change parameters-Select TDLFS file system

Click on "Scan".Please post the LOG report(log file should be in your C drive)

Do not change the default options on scan results

Launch it, allow it to download latest Avast! virus definitions
Click the "Scan" button to start scan. After scan finishes, click on Save log

Post the log results here.If you get crashes in normal mode, run it in safemode with networking

ESET online scanner

Install it

Click on START,it should download the virus definitions
When scan gets completed, click on LIST of found threats

Export the list to desktop, copy the contents of the text file in your reply
