Question:

Did you replace the cracked screen in the laptop or is this an external monitor connected with a video cord?

When you replaced the lcd monitor....

Could you have damaged the thin ribbon cable that connects the mother board to the new lcd screen?

The reason I ask is that usually when the screen turns colors like that the video cord is damaged.

It does not matter if it is a vga, dvi, or the thin ribbon cable that connects the lcd screen.

Check that thin ribbon cable to see if it is bent or torn.

I don't know if this will help but I hooked up back the crack screen and the colors was black and white.

the cable end that plugs into the screen one side of the gold end looks like it's broke as you can see in the pic. I know my photo sucks so does my phone lol

I am pretty sure that is your problem.

I really hope so but there is no way it can be the screen right? Just to make sure because I have 7 days to return it and after that 120 day warranty. That's my biggest snag right now.

Did the new screen not come with a new ribbon video cable?

If it would make it easy then return the screen and get a new one to make sure.

This is a call you would have to make.

From all the experience I have the only time the screen turns colors like what you have shown is the cable.
