I have a folder in my (F:\) HD drive that I cannot delete. I have tried the "Unlocker" application, but it does nothing. I'm not even sure how the folder and its contents got there. It was just a series of numbers about 20 characters long. I was allowed to rename it, which I did. Also - I am not allowed to move it. Any thoughts?

As I (and another staff member) replied on another forum:

1) Have you rebooted and tried to delete then? It sounds like a leftover folder from a Windows Update

2) Alternatively, you can use MoveOnBoot http://emcosoftware.com/move-on-boot

What are the contents of the folder?

Please post the folder name as it appears via Explorer view.

Why are you trying to delete it?

Do you have backup software installed?

Thank you for the replies. MoveOnBoot worked.
