Hello all!
Long time fan of bleepingcomputer and all the help I get.
99.99% of issues I have already has a topic so I rarely ever need to make a post.
however this one is weird.

When I am logged into a pc remotely with Teamviewer 7 and have to run combofix, I get disconnected.
Was wondering if there is a way around this, or if anyoen else has the same probelm and is just Teamviewer, or any remote software?

Combofix is designed to disconnect you from the internet when it runs
Fully read the directions (if you still wish to use it) and it states that you will be disconnected and may require a reboot after the log is produced -

The program is installed and run, only from the Desktop so there can not be Internet (or other programs) running at the same time
You may "kill a computer" (make it unbootable) if the directions are not followed to the letter each time you NEED to run the program -

Team Viewer can only be re-enabled once the program is fully completed and the log is produced -

As noknojon notes per the authorized guide, disconnection from the Internet is by design as part of ComboFix's routine so there is no bypassing it. There are reasons this is done which we cannot fully explain as specific discussions on how ComboFix works is not permitted in public forums in order to safeguard and protect the integrity of the tool from malware writers.

Safeguarding ComboFix from malware writers is necessary and important so that we can continue to use it without attackers having knowledge how to defeat it. Everything we discuss can be read by the bad guys. Yes, they read forum topics looking for clues on how to circumvent our tools. We don't want to provide any information they can use against us so we deliberately limit discussion in public areas which sometimes may appear vague or not fully address a specific question. That's the decision by the creator of ComboFix so we hope you understand and it should not be taken personal.
