Why would drop down menus start opening on the other side?

This is not a serious issue - at least I don't think so - but all of sudden all of the sub menus of the drop down menus in Firefox have started opening on the right when they've always opened on the left. Why would that be?

Reset your firefox settings and check the difference.

Well, I did not do anything and now they're back to opening on the other side!
