let me sketch my set-up and situation

Asus P5QC
Intel Core2Quad Q9550
KVR16n11 / 4 x2
GTS250

Normally I have OCZ3RPR13332G 2x2GB DDR3 1333mhz in my PC, but because I wanted more ram without upgrading mobo (only 2 DDR3 slots) I have bought this Kingston ValueRAM.Only the vendor didn't have 1333mhz version in stock so has sold me the 1600mhz(for the same price) ..I was hesitant since my mobo says it can ùax use 1333mhz but he told me it should normally be able to handke the ram just only at 1333mhz instead of 1600mhz. No problemo normaly, except that my system is completely flipping on it.

I put it in-> 1st time I come in the POST and I can go to bios, just checked everything was on auto(auto = 1.5 DRAM voltage = what the advertised voltage for my ram is, nice, so I didn't touch it) .. After that I can't boot windows, bluescreen, meh can happen quite an exotic setup, so i just reboot..

But now, no post, no beeps, nothing. With 1 bar of ram nothing.Other bar, again nothing. Then i put back my old ram, finally i have a POST in which he says that the overclock settings failedare (what overclocking settings?)

Then once again with several changes (dram voltage slightly higher apparently rapidly unstable with too little voltage this ram so at 1.52 and 1.54 done manually put 1333mhz) .. With 1 bar I get there sometimes, but not always,2 x my post an/or bios even hung o.O

Eventually I began to fear for my mobo but now return old ram and everything works perfectly ..

Very frustrating, ram already tested in other computers to make sure that it isn't iffy .. Everything seems fine, theoretically it should work .. but it does not .. 2days already please help me! thx

also app setting dram timings manually "could" help so i wanted to try that..latencies are 11-11-11-(35 i think) but my mobo only goes to 34 as 4th timing?

The motherboard supports DDR3 1333/1066/800 MHz or DDR2 memory 1066/800/667 MHz. It will not work with 1600mhz memory, hence it not working when you tried it. Here is a link to your mobo specs Asus
