I am looking for another Dell Vostro 1500 (I believe out of production) what's worse is my predilection for WINDOWS XP Professional/sp3. Is it realistic to
think that I can go on like this? Already I've lost my battery. And am searching everywhere for another Vostro 1500. I've only had the notebook since december
and had not touched a computer since the COLD WAR ended. I have yet to see "in person" a Dell Vostro 3000 series with my own personal eyes. Is there anybody with
the same addiction? Or, at least, understand the addiction? What is a reasonable expextation to pay for a used, or refurbished Vostro 1500, particularly in light
that the machines and associated hard/soft/ware will become less supported in future.

Also, do you know why it's refered to as a "notebook" rather than a Laptop (other than the considerable weight factor)?
