Hello Mike and welcome to the forum. I see no "malware" but this item: MyWebSearch I suggest you remove, here is what CastleCops has to say. http://castlecops.com/startuplist-2356.html While this may be a gray area, see this: http://castlecops.com/clsid-57.html I still consider it junk, but have to let you know it is optional, but I would not allow it on any of my computers. Here are removal instruction and you get to make the call.

1) Start > Control Panel > uninstall MyWebSearch if there.

2) Turn Microsoft AntiSpyware it may block the fix. Once you are finsihed, you may want to review this information: http://russelltexas.com/malware/defender.htm

3) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {00A6FAF6-072E-44cf-8957-5838F569A31D} - C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\SrchAstt\3.bin\MWSSRCAS.DLL
O2 - BHO: MyWebSearch Search Assistant BHO - {00A6FAF1-072E-44cf-8957-5838F569A31D} - C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\SrchAstt\3.bin\MWSSRCAS.DLL
O2 - BHO: mwsBar BHO - {07B18EA1-A523-4961-B6BB-170DE4475CCA} - C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\bar\3.bin\MWSBAR.DLL
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UserFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -u
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [My Web Search Bar] rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\3.bin\MWSBAR.DLL,S
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MyWebSearch Email Plugin] C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\3.bin\mwsoemon.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MyWebSearch Email Plugin] C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\3.bin\mwsoemon.exe
O8 - Extra context menu item: &Search - http://edits.mywebsearch.com/toolbaredits/...arch.jhtml?p=ZC

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Enable hidden files&folders..reverse the process when finished.
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\PROGRAM FILES~1\MYWEBSEARCH\ >>> folder

(If you clean Prefetch yourself you can skip this step, if not read the link and consider if it needs it)

C:\Windows\Prefetch\ >>> delete the contents (NOT THE FOLDER)
Prefetch info: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_...refetch-XP.html

If you don't have a good cleaner, use this free one with these instructions:
Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Review the instructions http://www.ccleaner.com/help/tour1.asp
Run CCleaner, Windows & Applications when you run the registry cleaner (Issues) you will be prompted to backup before you can remove stuff, make sure you do.

No need to post another log unless you want to. Safe surfing...Phil

Thanks...pskelley

Wow  is all I can say!!! Man this thing has never ran better. I finished up with the prefetch delete after reading the articles there @windows networking and that's probably the bigger help because it was really "bloated" as they put it. Thanks alot man I think alittle more highly of my system now! Really running good.

TY,
Mike :flowers:
