Currently having issues with recent internet download program removals.
The weather channel desktop 6 when attempting to remove in 'add or remove programs' I get the following message: wise uninstall
Could not open INSTALL.LOG file.
Another issue with:
Play 7 Wonders 2 in 'add or remove programs' the following popup appears - Fatal Error! Missing required resource!
Try to reinstall EXEtender.exe from your service providers website.
Reinstallation is not going anywhere with these two programs
Unsure where these programs came from, if they are safe downloads or what kind of junk they carry with them, but I am not having much luck in removing them.
Laptop specs as follows:
Dell Latitude D630 X-86 based PC running windows xp pro service pack 3 build 2600
Anyone know how I can get past this problem?

Hi Charlie -
Try these few programs first, also list your Antivirus and any other Antimalware programs you use -
Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.
Close all open programs and internet browsers.
Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
Click on Delete.
Confirm each time with Ok.
Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
Please post the content of that logfile with your next answer.
You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop
Junkware Removal Tool by thisisu
•You may need to shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
•Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
•The tool will open and start scanning your system.
•Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
•On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
•Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message.

Also try to find the program via Windows Explorer under your C: drive or Installed Programs and Right Click delete it there -

Thanks -

Hi -
These 2 programs should be deleted as they will not help with any of your problems -
Advanced System Care 6 and Glary Utilities

Glary Utilities and Advanced System Care 6 should both be deleted, as they are not needed
Both include a Registry Cleaner (not required) and IObit slips an Antivirus in that will not agree with your McAfee Internet Security
If your Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is updated and scans often, these 2 are all you need
These removed programs are often a cause of minor problems, so you are now clean of them - Always be careful of what you download -
GamingWonderland and Retrogamer_4w are both most likely ripped sites or may contain infections -

MyWebSearch is a site that will redirect your home pages and is also regarded as an infection to always be removed -

Treat sites overly hyping Registry Cleaners and System Optimizers as Snake-Oil. Those are more likely to cause issues while fixing nothing.
SpeedyPC - Reputation at WOT (Web Of Trust) - It is a good idea to download WOT, if ever offered to you, as you can check dodnloads first -

If you are still having problems, please let us know what they are, and we can treat them as required -

Thank You -

Do by chance use a cleanup utility such as CCleaner? One of its options for removing stuff is Windows Log Files. If the install.log file for a program has been deleted, the program often cannot be uninstalled.
