Hello everybody,

I'm having some trouble with my PC. It started about a week ago.

When I boot my PC in normal mode, the HDD light is on continuously and the PC response is extremely slow. It takes 15-20 minutes for it to shut down. Or it would take upto 5 minutes to start an application. The PC seems to be running slow but much better in safe mode.

It is an HP machine (don't now the model number).
It is running window 7 Home Premium.
The HDD is ST3750528AS.

I ran SeaTools scan and the short generic test reported no issues (in safe mode).
SeaTools long generic test results:

--------------- SeaTools for Windows v1.2.0.6 ---------------
11/3/2012 1:59:07 AM
Model: ST3750528AS
Serial Number: V98PV5LQ
Firmware Revision: HP35
Short Generic - Started 11/3/2012 1:59:07 AM
Short Generic - Pass 11/3/2012 2:00:26 AM
Long Generic - Started 11/3/2012 2:01:16 AM
Long Generic - FAIL 11/3/2012 3:03:49 AM
SeaTools Test Code: E7A56DDA

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Usually when a hdd fails the manufacturer's long diagnostic test the drive is toast.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
