So, I'm a Minecraft player. I've been having lag issues with the release of a new version, so I decided to try and update/reintall Java. Noticed I was on 7 update 7, 32 and 64 bit, so I decided to try and update. Downloaded Java 7 update 9 from the website and tried to install. Both failed with: Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\Windows\Installer\jre1.7.0_07.msi. So I tried uninstalling old versions. Same error. Opened up JavaRa and tried running uninstall from there. Somehow, the 64-bit version uninstalled but not the 32-bit one. Successfully installed Java 7 Update 9 64-bit, but can't figure out what's wrong with the 32-bit version. Any suggestions?

Edit - Taking a java class using Eclipse. Opening Eclipse gives me a Java Virtual Machine Launcher error that says: Error: could not open 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\lib\i836\jvm.cfg', which confuses me further because I haven't had Java 6 installed before this incident? A second error pops up, which I have attached to this post. Any help would be very appreciated. T

Windows 7 64bit - Java installation problem, error 1316

Here is a link to the 64bit version of java 7 update 5
(on the right side of the screen there should be a link to older versions)
Download Java Runtime Environment 1.7.0.5 (64-bit) - FileHippo.com Now try to Update from here

You can also try to download to Desktop and install it from there -
If you still cannot sort this, try going back to version 6 of Java (which does not install FX).

64-bit version is fine, I have it installed. I'm more concerned with the 32-bit version, which I cannot uninstall.

I've resolved the problem with Windows Install Clean Up. Thanks for the help regardless.
