Looking for a 2TB external hard drive for a MacBook Pro running 10.7.4. I'm using a 2TB WD My Book Essential for my iMAC with Leopard, but that HD is only for Leopard/Snow Leopard according to the box. At Best Buy they had a WD small portable HD, forget the name, but it was $200. Don't really need a small portable nor the price, looking more for ~$100 that will stay on the desk. Any recommendations for one that is compatible with the Lion OS? Thanks. Joe.

This might be what you need: http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Backup-Desktop-External-STCA2000100/dp/B00829TII6/ref=dp_ob_title_ce

What if there were no hypothetical situations?

Actually I believe you should be able to use that on lion as well, as long as its formatted apple which it is because you already have it working on leopard, you should be able to read and write files from it on lion and even mountain lion. :)
