Top of the day to you, I was curious to know if it is possible to lock down remote access to windows 7 registry, and if so would you recommend it, thanks (hopefully I posted in proper location)

You can disable remote access to your computer by going to Start> Control Panel and click on the arrow in the upper left corner to open the drop down menu, click on System, under Control Panel Home click on Remote Settings. In the tabs at the top click on Remote and then remove the check in the Allow remote access.
