about 3 weeks ago, my wifes acer aspire 5536 showed an unwelcomed 'operating system not found' on the screen. I have since removed the cover and felt and listened to the hard drive and it is definitely not even spinning up. either that, or it's the most calm, quiet hard drive ever. I think the hard drive failed.

will this hard drive work in this computer? I don't want to make the mistake of purchasing it and find out it doesn't work because it's too much capacity or LBA addressing is incorrect or some other reason. the expert advice I request is most appreciated.

here's links to newegg and info about the hard drive.
