Hi

Im trying to install xp home on a computer but when I get to the screen where I can choose to add or delete a partition, nothing happens when I choose to delete.

I didnt use the original installation cd that came with my other computer. I had to slipstream service pack 2 and sata drivers with the xp installation files and create another installation cd to get it to work with the computer Im having a problem with. Otherwise I get pci.sys and harddrive errors.

The os on the computer Im trying to install xp on is ubuntu 11.10 if that matters.

Thanks for any help.

You may want to use gparted live cd to delete this partition.

Hi

I didnt think about other programs to use to reformat the disk. I did some searching and found Active KillDisk. I used it to delete the partition and the xp installation disk to format.

Thanks for the help!
