The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is shipping today and will be in stores tomorrow. Definitely picking this game up. Loved the previous games and this looks much better.

"After the mysterious and untimely death of the Emperor, desperate factions vie for control of Tamriel's throne. With the empire ready to crumble, the gates of Oblivion open and demons march upon the land, laying waste to everything in their path. To turn the tide of darkness the player must find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel."

hmmm. I might check it out. I just spent my money on MGS3: subsistance though.

Will there be a demo, if there isn't one out already?

im definitly gonna get me a copy on my 360 though and its not out here until friday  have you heard about the ai in this one apperantly every character actually leads a true style life for example a dock worker will actually get up around the same time everyday(game time) and go to work take breaks etc pretty impressive but when you think about when every character in the game will be doing it its pretty impressive.
anyway i cant wait to get it :flowers:

Oblivion looks like an insane next-gen RPG. If the graphix on the PC are the same as the graphix on the x-box360, then you really can't play it on anything less than an awesome box....

And yes, the ai in oblivion is supposed to be amazing. However, i don't see how every single character having their own unique life really impacts the game play so much... It seems like more of a "selling point" than a major part of the game.

BTW: Grinler, MGS3: Subsistance is like a "Special Edition" version of Metal Gear Solid 3 (one of the greatest games EVER, imo). It includes a theater mode, new camera angle, online play, more story elements, etc.

when its explained properly you see how it makes an impact on the game it depends on what class you are if your a rogue and specialise in stealth it apparently makes a huge impact with being able to steal things only at certain times etc either way it sounds good.

MGS3 i am assuming is a console?

I have to agree with Conk...i personally love when the ai is that good. I remember when the npcs in the ultimas started having their daily routines. From these routines you were able to search their houses for goodies when not home, or do certain requests that you needed to not be seen while doing.

It just adds a flavor of realism to it all.

I hope my system is going to be able to handle this game. P4. 2.8 2.5 gigs of ram, and ati 9800 pro. Will see tomorrow

hmmmm. I don't know I've only watched my friend play the Elder Scrolls III game for xbox for half an hour. are there any gameplay videos of these?

Maybe I'll get it, I'm not too sure.

well ive just been out and bought it on my 360 and its fantastic my characters a khajiit (cat person) theif/ assasin.

the games fantastic but there are a few problems well one anyway when the npcs talk among themselves the voices are off for example they will say one sentence in one voice and then the next sentence in another voice and two groups of people can be having the exact same conversation when there are only meters from each other although this doesnt happen often its kindof annoying, the graphics and scale of the game easily make up for this.

anyway its a fantastic game well worth buying just dont expect to hav a life when you start playing

Anybody have the PC version, which would be the one I'd be getting if I do buy it, and how are your PC specs and performance of the game?
