I'm running xp prof and am having a prob opening a pfg prog(jeepers)i keep getting a microsoft error that the jeepersDx Avr config & progr utility has encountered a prob and needs to close.i have removed the exe.and redownloaded to no avail any ideas.

Try uninstalling it in add/remove programs in the control panel (or with its own uninstaller if applicable), reboot and reinstall it.

Reboot again.

Do you still have the problem?

i removed all traces of prog.including reg.downloaded it again same old same old,still getting m/s error mess.

How did you remove it? Did you use add/remove programs or just delete it file by file?

If you did it file by file it probably had additional dlls, etc in hidden files and removing them one by one is never a good idea.

Use an uninstaller - either the Windows add/remove programs utility of maybe the one in Spybot.

If the problem cannot be resolved by uninstall and reinstall (with a reboot in between), then maybe it was not written for XP or was written incorrectly.
