My Toshiba laptop needed a total factory reset which I performed successfully. I backed up my documents and restored them after the factory reset was performed. But a window kept popping up "System Preparation Tool 3.14." I just kept closing the window until I could research it a little. I did a little research on-line and learned it was to set up my account name, etc. so I hit "ok" when the window came up on the next reboot. Unfortunately, all my documents and pictures which I restored after the factory reset were lost after the process. Is there any way to get them back? Obviously, I'm not that computer savvy!
