I am running about 25-30% and Firefox alone is gobbling up over half a gig.

Good evening. :)

Have you noticed any correlation between using Microsoft Security Essentials and the CPU spikes?

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Well sure, I see spikes during TrustedInstaller.exe, MsMpEng.exe, WDBackupEngine.exe and some other programs running. In the past, the usage of 500MB of memory by Firefox has indicated problems. Computer is running around 12-20% during times that nothing major is going on...

What I mean is, have the issues only occurred since you have been using MSE - have you had the problems using another anti-virus?

So long, and thanks for all the fish.
