Hi, recently my laptop has slowed down significantly for no reason that I can recall. I've scanned with the routine Norton/Malwarebytes programs but have found nothing. If someone could assist me with my problem it would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

I'd also like to add that my while my internet is of decent quality that allows for quick downloading, simple things like opening my volume controls or loading a web page take a exorbitant amount of time.

Worth a read, Slow Computer-browser Check Here First; It May Not Be Malware - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic87058.html .

Without knowing what programs are installed on your system...I suggest uninstall the Symantec product and using something less burdensome (Avast, Avire Free, Microsoft Security Essentials are examples).

Thank you both for your help. I really do appreciate it. I'll read up and try to diagnose the problem before I bump this thread, again.
