My NIS just started telling me "Activation is required, Your computer is at risk". My subscription has several months left on it. Everything on the NIS dashboard is disabled, EXCEPT the "activate now" button.

I've run both Malwarebytes, and SuperAntiSpyware - full scans, safe mode. Nothin.

Any ideas?

Thanks...

Hello kvon,

Pleas update the following programs:
  • Java 6 update 31 (Last version Java 7 update 9)
  • Adobe Reader 8 (Last version Adobe Reader 11.0)
  • Mozilla Thunderbird
Do you have a license of Norton Internet Security?
Pleas do a ESET Online scan and post the result in your next reply.

If you have a license of Norton Internet Security, uninstall the program with the Norton Uninstall tool. Reinstall the program, and activate it.
Make sure that you save the activation code on a location where you can find it! For example: Notepad -> Desktop

Pleas post in your next reply your ESET Online scan log and tell me if Norton has been activated after a reinstall.
Edit: There is a newer version of Java, changed.
