I'm using Mint 13 ( Mate desktop environment ).

I do a lot of recording using RecordMyDesktop. I have the audio enabled there, but it doesn't work. RecordMyDesktop puts the recordings in my home folder as .ogv - there is no audio when I open it with VLC media player, or upload it to Youtube. I can hear the audio very faintly sometimes if I have the volume turned up all the way.

I've Googled a lot about this, but it's confusing to me. I don't see any options in RecordMyDesktop that will tell it where to record audio from. Is there perhaps another package I need to install to make this work?
