can't find hard drive

After a recent download, whenthe computer rebooted the message said can't find OS. When I attempted to reinstall the OS, the message said can't find hard drive driver.

Appreciate any help. Thanks

either quite a stoke of bad luck,[your harddrive just died ] or you downloaded something nasty

what was the recent download and where did you download it from

I believe I was updating an adobe flash player or reader ...

never have I had to reboot my computer after updating either of the programs ,so maybe that was just a conscience ,try and reconnect the hard drive and reconnect it ,might just be a loose connection ,or the drive just up and died
