I keep getting a pop up saying to add wyUpdate to my laptop. I click "don't allow" on the Microsoft changes question.
There is a website that tells how to uninstall it but I'm not sure if it's a
valid site and I don't want to download anything unless I know
it's safe.
My link

This site says to start task manager and stop it from running before removing it.
It said to "end process" only my task manager no longer has this option. Something isn't right there.
I'm running Norton Antivirus 2012 right now. Hope it catches any viruses.

Thank you for any help :)

Let's see what's running on your computer....

Download Autoruns for Windows: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx
No installation required.
Simply unzip Autoruns.zip file, and double click on autoruns.exe file to run the program.
Go File>Save, and save it as AutoRuns.txt file to know location.
You must select Text from drop-down menu as a file type:

I don't see anything related to wyUpdate running.

I keep getting a pop up saying to add wyUpdate to my laptop

When exactly does it happen?
Do you have any particular program open when it happens?

To me it seems random. But it may be Chrome?
I did notice sometimes it's when I go to shut down, it pops up.
Is this a Microsoft program?
I've run Norton several times and it only cleans cookies. No viruses found.

Thank you, again. I really appreciate your help. :)

Edit: I just started Tweetdeck to see if it was the reason.
Then I closed it and got the pop up.

wyUpdate is a part of wyBuild (http://wyday.com/wybuild/) and unless you maintain some computers network you wouldn't have any reason to use it.

Try to investigate little bit more.
Take a note what programs you have open when it happens.
If you could get a screenshot of that pop-up it may be helpful.

I am trying to insert an image of what happens after I pick not to download wyupdate.
Snipping tool won't work until after I refuse it.
Unfortunately I don't know how to upload from my laptop to this reply. The photo links above seem
to want a website.

Well, this is embarrassing. It does say "wyudate needs administrative privileges to update Tweetdeck" in the message. I didn't notice it before because I was nervous about getting a virus and closed it as quickly as possible. (blonde)
I'm still suspicious of it.

Here is another way to get a screenshot...

With the window open that you want to take the Screenshot of, press the Print Screen/SysRq Key (next to F12 on the keyboard).
If you only want a screenshot of an active window within the main window press ALT+Print Screen/SysRq.

Now open Microsoft Paint by pressing Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint.

This will open the Paint window.
On the menu bar at the top left, click on Edit and select Paste. This will put your screenshot in the Paint window.

Next, click File on the menu bar and click Save As.

In the drop-down box that appears, where it shows File name replace the highlighted Untitled with a suitable name.
In the Save as type box press the down arrow and select JPEG from the list of options.
In the Save in box at the top press the down arrow and navigate to Desktop and select it then press Save at the bottom.

Upload the file(s) here: http://uploadmb.com/
Copy the link inside the Direct Link box and post it in your next reply.

Okay, I tried to do what you said. I have a two keys for that.
One says "HOME" and "SYSRQ" underneath it. The other has "END" and "PRTSC" Underneath it.
Tried both but they didn't seem to work.
I sure do appreciate all your help. I'm going to upload that one snipping tool one for now
because my sister came here to get me and is waiting.
I will be back ASAP. Thank you so much. :)

Oh, I'm sorry. I only had Chrome and just close Tweetdeck when the pop up comes for wyupdate.

I'm unable to get my screenshot to work.

OK, I'm not familiar with TweetDeck but if you have it installed and you know it's safe you should allow that update as it clearly comes from your program.

Thank you so much. I didn't know what was causing it until I talked with you.
You're awesome!
Tweetdeck is a Twitter program. I will allow it to install now.

Thank you so very much. :)
