My son wants to purchase and download Minecraft, but we want to make sure we have all the requirements before he spends his hard earned $27.00. Can someone tell me where/how to see if our older computer is going to be compatible?

This is what I need, apparently:
System Recommendations
Here's the rough minimum requirements for a computer playing Minecraft:
Latest version of 64-bit Java (download Java here)
GPU: Intel GMA 950 or AMD Equivalent
CPU: Intel P4/NetBurst Architecture or AMD Equivalent

I have the exact same issue
