I have seen other users with the same problem, and the solution seems to be unique to each computer. Windows update ran automatically, computer rebooted and tries to finish updating, but stalls at updating _000000000.cdf-ms and then blue-screens to a C0000135 error before rebooting and going through the same cycle. I tried start-up repair, which was unable to repair. I also tried system restore, but at some point, the system restore was turned off and there are no restore points. I could reinstall windows, but considering how much fight went into getting this computer set-up and working correctly, I am trying to avoid a complete reinstall. Any suggestions? I can remove the hard drive and copy over corrupted files if needed. I am just not sure what files to copy over.
