I recently had a virus that I was able to get rid of thanks to Select Real Security and I was able to use my computer for the day that I fixed it. I turned off my computer for the night and this morning I continue to get blue screened. Last night windows wanted me to update it so it could install a windows anti-malware program, which eventually installed during the shutdown of my computer.

I followed the post-infection steps that Select Real Security suggested for Windows 7 not starting but it still does not work. I believe the windows update is causing the problem but you guys are more computer literate than I am so help me out.

By the way I did try a system restore through repair mode (it's the only screen that I can get through) and there is a system restore error.

Help me out please!

Hello, have you tried to do a Startup Repair?

regards, Elise
