You can find the prevalence of detections of HITMAN pro here.
The ones in bold are new entries. That is not surprising as those are the most infections reported from people.
Give your thoughts :)

EDIT: I mean all of the infections. Not just the new ones.

Haven't been seeing the new entries yet but Sirefef/Zeroaccess has been giving me fits. Probably had 9-10 machines in the past week with it.

Security experts say that once a computer is infected with it, it cannot be ever trusted again unless the disk is wiped out, along the mbr, and the OS is reinstalled.
Reformatting will not always get it because the MBR is infected too.

The new entries are bold. Check numbers 17, 21, and 22.
I'm shocked too.

EDIT: Did you mean that you haven't seen the new entries on a computer yet?

Yes, I have yet to see the new entries out in the wild yet. But I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

Sirefef does not infect the MBR. You're confusing it with TDL4, which does target the MBR.

This would be the case with Backdoor infections.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
