For months now, by browser, Firefox (15.0) has had the homepage I desire replaced with the "search.us" search engine. Whenever I try Firefox tools>options>general to fix it. search.us shown there as my homepage. If I replace it with my desired homepage, as soon as I shut FF down, it's there again. I cannot figure out how to fix this. I would be forever indebted to anyone who'll help this old man in a nursing home out

Edit: Moved topic from Web Browsing/Email and Other Internet Applications to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

narenxp, your suggestion might have worked. I tried to proceed until the third step started what looked like a hour's scan, and I thought, "to hell with this - I've got stuff to do", and aborted it. Thanks anyway and I will seek another solution, even if it costs a few bucks.
