I joined quite awhile ago but never posted here. Not that I don't have problems once in awhile, I do. I am a 73 yr old novice at this computer stuff. I have gotten myself into some troubles from time to time. Now, don't laugh but when I first got the computer I somehow deleted windows. Now, how dumb is that? Worst thing was I took it to a local shop to fix..they charged me $300. and I could of reinstalled myself with the cds I got with the computer...Expensive lesson. Glad there are places like here that I can look .

Welcome and Thank You for joining.

Shame on that shop. Around here where I am in NJ that would be $99 + Tax US Dollars.
Most likely it would be that cost here due to the time needed to do the install and all the security updates.
As a point of reference a local shop is flat rated at $99 for laptop or desktop labor.

I do have helpful links in my signature, if needed.
