When I logon to my computer, after entering my credentials, there is a blank screen that stays up for a bit, then my desktop slowly loads. also, when i go to put my laptop in sleep mode, it takes a minute or two for it to actually go into sleep mode. no problem waking it up though. i am thinking of doing a startup repair to start with. i would prefer not to wipe my drive if possible.

What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?
