Help!! I had to do a system recovery on my laptop. I was able to establish an account on OE but cannot add another account for my wife. I kept all the particulars to re-enter but all fails.

Also I clicked on the Remember my password option in the accounts properties but I am required to enter my password everytime. I have Windows XP on a Pentium 4 processor with 512 meg Ram.

Can anyone help? :flowers:

What precisely happens when you attempt the second account? Any error messages? Is the E-mail address completely different for each of you?

It's hard to explain. I tried s to set up another account and it defaults to my main account. It didn't add an identity so I tried to add an identity for the 2nd account. When I try to switch it said it couldn't because one of the applications was unable to switch.

OK, here's the thing. I downloaded XP SP2 and updated all the latest updates and patches. I now could add a new account for my wife!!

My problem now is the sign on box. It pops up for each of us to enter our passwords. I go into the accounts mail properties and click the Remember My Password box and click Apply. The password disappears every time. Any suggestions?

I fixed the problem from another source. It had to do with a bad Registry entry. It is a problem with Outlook and Outlook Express.
