Hi, I have a Samsung LA22B450 as a second screen, I recently got a new computer and since then the screen makes a high pitched noise, it's not very loud but it is extremely annoying.

It only does this when on the HMDI display, when it's on TV mode there is no noise. The connection to the screen is same as before, DVI to HMDI, same cable and everything.

Only difference is the new computer, the video card is a GigaByte GTX 670 which I'm guessing must be the cause.

Any ideas? I've already updated graphics drivers.

It might be a cable since its on the hdmi that is causing the sound.

Do you mean a faulty cable or interference in the cable?

Setup is all the same as with last PC, same cables etc, screens haven't moved. Simply new box.

Some high pitched noise coming from the monitor might be a loose or bad cable, a bad power adapter or the TV itself.

Edit: I see you have a new computer, is it running on native resolution for the monitor?

Cable is in correctly, I doubt it's related to the TV itself as it only does it when set to the PC.

Not sure on native resolution... It's on the recommended one which looks right and is same as it was set to on the old pc.
