Another step was to run GMER. When I tried to follow the steps for GMER I couldn't check System, Sections, Devices,Modules, Processes, Threads, or Libraries. When I ran the scan nothing came up and the txt file was blank. For more information you can look up the thread I worked through with the Topic: Virus and hacked account (Possible keylogger?)Forum: Am I infected? What do I do?. I hope someone can help me.

On my desktop I no longer have internet connection unless I am in safe mode. I've been using my laptop to connect.

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer!

I am HelpBot: an automated program designed to help the Bleeping Computer Staff better assist you! This message contains very important information, so please read through all of it before doing anything.

We apologize for the delay in responding to your request for help. Here at Bleeping Computer we get overwhelmed at times, and we are trying our best to keep up. Please note that your topic was not intentionally overlooked. Our mission is to help everyone in need, but sometimes it takes just a little longer to get to every request for help. No one is ignored here.

To help Bleeping Computer better assist you please perform the following steps:

***************************************************

Posted Image In order to continue receiving help at BleepingComputer.com, YOU MUST tell me if you still need help or if your issue has already been resolved on your own or through another resource! To tell me this, please click on the following link and follow the instructions there.

CLICK THIS LINK >>> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/logreply/468791 <<< CLICK THIS LINK

If you no longer need help, then all you needed to do was the previous instructions of telling me so. You can skip the rest of this post. If you do need help please continue with Step 2 below.

***************************************************

Posted Image If you still need help, I would like you to post a Reply to this topic (click the "Add Reply" button in the lower right hand of this page). In that reply, please include the following information:

  • If you have not done so already, include a clear description of the problems you're having, along with any steps you may have performed so far.
  • A new DDS and GMER log. For your convenience, you will find the instructions for generating these logs repeated at the bottom of this post.
    • Please do this even if you have previously posted logs for us.
    • If you were unable to produce the logs originally please try once more.
    • If you are unable to create a log please provide detailed information about your installed Windows Operating System including the Version, Edition and if it is a 32bit or a 64bit system.
    • If you are unsure about any of these characteristics just post what you can and we will guide you.
  • Please tell us if you have your original Windows CD/DVD available.
  • Upon completing the above steps and posting a reply, another staff member will review your topic and do their best to resolve your issues.

Thank you for your patience, and again sorry for the delay.

***************************************************

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan again:

  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links if you no longer have it available. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explanation about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.

Information on A/V control HERE

We also need a new log from the GMER anti-rootkit Scanner.

Please note that if you are running a 64-bit version of Windows, you should not bother creating a GMER log.

Please first disable any CD emulation programs using the steps found in this topic:

Why we request you disable CD Emulation when receiving Malware Removal Advice

Then create another GMER log and post it as an attachment to the reply where you post your new DDS log. Instructions on how to properly create a GMER log can be found here:

How to create a GMER log

As I am just a silly little program running on the BleepingComputer.com servers, please do not send me private messages as I do not know how to read and reply to them! Thanks!

When the issue first started I had recieved an e-mail from battle.net that my account information had been changed. I logged on to check my info and changed my password. Later a friend of mine who was still playing World of Warcraft which uses battle.net said I was online playing. When I tried to log back on my password was changed as well as my security information. I had to call support and prove I was who I said I was. Since then I have resolved that issue. I changed all my passwords to all my log ons. I worked with bleeping computer to run all the scans and the forum I was working in told me they needed stronger tools because there was still an issue. I would not be able to connect to the internet unless I was in safe mode. Talking with my brothre last night he suggested that my computer might be clean, but have a corrupted driver since I could still connect in safe mode. I turned on my computer today after it had been off for eight days and it now connects normally. I have updated my anti virus (kaspersky, it used to get halfway through a scan and lock up loosing internet connection) and also updated malware bytes ( it used to scan finding 20 threats and lock up before completion also dropping internet connection to my computer). I shut down and re started my computer and there were updates for microsoft. Currently I'm running kaspersky to see if it will now complete a scan or if the connection is lost and locks up. I will post my results of my scans and hopefully things turn out good. If there are any other threats you can think of for me to look for if it turns out good, please let me know. I would like to have some assureance that my computer is in fact free and clear of all threats at that point.

Mod Edit: Topic reopened per OP request - Hamluis

There is a post on my thread that I needed to PM a moderator or my issue would be dropped. Here is the address I copied from my thread and assume it's the link you need. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic468791.html/page__p__2842227__fromsearch__1#entry2842227
Please let me know when you get this and I'll also update my thread on what is currently happening.

Here is my issue all over again. I posted on an earlier thread about my issue. I had recieved an email notification that my battle.net account had been changed recently and it wasn't me. I logged on to check my info and it was all ok. After checking my info I changed all my passwords. Later a friend of mine told me I was playing a game supported by my battle.net account. I tried to log on to my account, but everything had been changed and I had to call customer support and prove I was me. after this issue I went on to my laptop, changed all my passwords and added a validator to my battle.net account. My next step was a suggestion by my brother to come on bleepingcomputer and have you guys help me. I would run kaspersky and half way through it would lock up and not complete a scan. I also would run malwarebytes and it too would lock up and not complete a scan. Through my previous thread on this site I got help from someone. I ran all the scans and I was able to only access the internet in safe mode. The infected computer is a desktop Dell XPS and is hardwired into the network, not wifi. After about 8 days I turned on the computer again and the internet was running normally. Just to be safe I ran Kaspersky wich found nothing, and Malwarebytes wich found 7 items. After removing the 7 items I restarted my computer and tried the scans again just to be sure. Kaspersky is back to locking up, and Malwarebytes will not complete a scan. Internet connectivity is dropped. Once again the only way to stay connected is to go through safe mode. The previous person who helped me on the other thread told me to post here and that you would have stronger tools. Can you help me? I am considering checking my warenty and seeing if I can just reformat since I already have my important files backed up. What would you suggest for me to do?
