Last evening everything was fine, then this morning awoke to a blue screen, icons gone, and somehow because of the always connect at least I'm online. Did find the list of most of the "errors" that have shown up, there may be more. AND presently am downloading a enisisoftemergency kit.zip. Which won't do much good because winzip is gone also, there is nothing but Opera in the "all programs".
Its Windows XP, would like to tell you more but can't. Nor is there an install disk, looks like something else a nephew took last time he was allowed to visit.
Here's the list, hope someone can email me because I have no idea what happened, what is wrong nor what the fix requires.
Device not ...
Hard drive boot sector reading error
system block not found
NTFS system
DRM value too small
Boot device inaccessible
page fault in nonpaged area
Just now Data reading error
Data Bus...
write fault error
sector not found.

The only UNUSUAL thing, yesterday got an email about/from UPS, about a package to be delivered. Since just had a birthday Sunday, thought it might be a gift from a friend far away. Normally I delete anything that I don't know who its from.

No idea, not a geek, not much of puter literate either.

Ended up here at Bleepingcomputer via a microsoft site.

okay new "cricitcal error hard drive controller..."
