The wife just had to run a system recovery for what she thought was a virus. recovery worked ok but now she cant get on line with our Netgear N600 router ( we could before the recovery download) i have tryed about everything i can think of any help would be appricated running Windows XP thanks

What's the PC's brand and model? Have you tried reinstalling the WiFi drivers? The drivers probably came on a CD with the computer or are available on the manufacturer's website.

I imagine the issue is the most basic one I can think of... when you ran the recovery that deleted your Wireless Profile.

Is this a laptop or a desktop?

Do you know your wireless SSID and Network Key/Password? (if this is a laptop)

PC brand and Modem would be helpful info as well?

Try looking for either a wireless symbol or a picture of computers in the bottom right by the clock in the notification area, click on it. What does it say? Does it say not connected? Does it say available wireless networks?
