Many thanks to whoever worked out how to get rid of this awful programme.
I religiously use Stinger, AVG Antivitus, SpyBot, Ad-Aware, TrendMicro Spysubtract and NoAdware (phew).
But SpyFalcon still got through and nothing I did would shift it until the advice desk from PC World put me on to bleepingcomputer.com. The instructions went fine until I got to the Safe Mode section 16, when instead of getting Disk Cleanup I got Macafee Quick Clean. So I used this and then went back to the start of the Safe Mode section and repeated the steps and then at section 16 I got the correct screen (Disk Cleanup). The advice to be patient is true, it took over three hours, and then would only run to about 95% before stopping.
So I closed the Disk Cleanup window in the morning after 8 hours sleep, so cannot be really sure how long it took ! Suffice to say all appears O.K. after a few sessions on the net. Once again, many thanks.
