Hi, first thing is to say i use to be IT tech but gave up 4 years ago. Maintain my own netwotl but just installed win7 and realise now i'm not as clever as i thought i was. So i acknowledge i maybe shouldn't have run combo fix without my IT guy about to aupport. So, Win7-64 bit. Had malware text enhance. Ran spybot, defender and no sign of it. So ran combo. All went well but got 'marked for deletion' registry error on firefox after reboot. Dont run explorer but checked it same error. Looked for logs etc ...... Ran a windoopws restore. No change. Reinstalled firefox and error changed to 'already running but not responding. It is not running in task manager. Still have combo installed, full reboot and browsers still dead. Ping ok, ipconfig ok so network and internet link ok. Feeling stupid for ignoring the warnings but defo need help on this one..... And textenhance gone and removed crossrider as well.
Desperate for help....... Thankyou in advance

Welcome to BC worksmurf

Since you already ran ComboFix due to some type of infection, its log should be posted for a thoroughly reviewed in order to ascertain what was detected/removed and what malware you're dealing with. A log should have been created and saved to the root directory, usually C:\ComboFix.txt.

Please follow the instructions in the Preparation Guide For Requesting Help starting at Step 6. When you have done that, start a new topic and post the required logs to include ComboFix.txt in the Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs forum, NOT here, for assistance by the Malware Response Team Experts. After doing this, please reply back in this thread with a link to the new topic so we can closed this one.

If HelpBot replies to your topic, please follow Step One and CLICK the link so it will report your topic to the team members.

Note: If no log was created by ComboFix, then ignore this part and just post the other requested logs in your new topic.
