Hi, i work in a High School based in the UK, and i would ideally like to implement a Helpdesk system, so that people can enter issues, and then we can update tickets/close tickets, and keep logs of previous issues to make it easier to diagnose and resolve issues in the future..

The software needs to be free to use in a school environment ideally, and it should be web based so we can install it onto our intranet, or onto our website...

If anyone has any suggestions for the best software/application to use, that would be much appreciated!!

Every Helpdesk System will have specific needs but check Spiceworks and see if its ok for your needs.
Spiceworks can do a lot more but it can be setup to open with the Helpdesk module by default, you don't need to use everything.

Make sure you check the support forum you will find lost of information and people that will help solving any problem.

• Please do not PM me asking for support. Post on the forums instead it will increases the chances of getting help for your problem by one of us.
• Posts in the Malware section that are not replied to within 4 days will be closed. PM me or a moderator to reactivate.
• Please post your final results, good or bad. We like to know! Thank you!
