I just got a new laptop today - an Asus laptop with an Nvidia graphics driver. I tried to install Skype but it repeatedly came up with the error 'Error: Unfortunately the Skype executable is corrupted. Please reinstall.'. According to the internet the driver somehow interferes with Skype and I need to disable it in order for Skype to work.

How do I go about temporarily disabling the driver? I need it to play games (Skyrim etc) but Skype is a necessity.

(Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong forum.)
