Hi,

I'm following up on the original form titled "NT Kernel & System high CPU." I have the same problem that my CPU goes to 100% and then it turns itself off (presumably because of the tempature, although I can't find any high temperature logs listed in my Event Viewer. So far, I've noticed that it usually happens when I'm playing a game and watching a video on Internet Explorer or if I've got lots of Internet Explorer pages up at once. I've tried limiting my CPU, using ProcessTamer, using Core Temp, and putting my fan on active, but none of these seem to work very well.

Today, I noticed that NT Kernel & System was contributing to the 100% CPU just before another crash, and a quick Google search revealed that lots of people have complaints about this, but no one seems to agree on the actual cause of the problem and the solution. I ended up on this forum because I found it pretty easy to run Trend Micro Hijack This v.2.0.4 and post the log. Here it is!

Does this log depend on what programs were actively running at the time? I specifically avoided using too much Internet Explorer or having a game running so that my computer wouldn't crash before I posted this. Any help or advice you can provide would be awesome! Thanks!!!
